‘Jurassic World: Battle At Big Rock’ Short Film Will Deal With ‘Fallen Kingdom’ Fallout

Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom

The upcoming Jurassic World: Battle at Big Rock short film will set the stage for what’s to come in the next installment, following the events of Fallen Kingdom.

On Tuesday, Jurassic World 3 director Colin Trevorrow announced on Twitter that there will be a short film premiering on FX this Sunday. The Jurassic World short film will be titled Battle at Big Rock and be eight-minutes long.

The Jurassic World short film will also follow the events of Fallen Kingdom and introduce two new dinosaurs to the franchise. At the end of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, the dinosaurs were let out into the world. In an interview with Collider, Jurassic World director Colin Trevorrow talked about how the Fallen Kingdom ending will play a role in the short film:

“The world is bigger than just the characters we’ve been following in the films. We’ve finally taken the story off Isla Nublar, we wanted to show a glimpse of that new reality. If this really happened, you’d see a series of random disconnected incidents that would create a pattern of chaos. I wanted to see one of those incidents.”
