‘Justice League’ Edit Envisions Superman In The Black Suit

In a recent post, an edited trailer of 2017’s Justice League features Superman in the Black Suit.

The video in question takes a series of scenes and images from Justice League and cuts them together into a custom made trailer. The most notable thing about it, however, is that whenever Superman appears on screen he is wearing a black suite as opposed to his traditional one. You can see the full video below:

The Black Suit originally appeared in The Death of Superman comic when the character returned to battle Cyborg Superman who was attempting to destroy the Earth and soil Superman’s reputation. It is widely believed that in the original Zack Snyder version of Justice League the Black Suit was intended to play a much larger role. Sadly the film underwent extended reshoots and reedits due, in part, to the negative reception of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and a personal tragedy that the director suffered during the post-production process.

Justice League sadly became one of the biggest disappointments of the DC Extended Universe. The film only made over $657M at the worldwide box office on a $300M budget. In addition, the film was savaged by critics, only managing a 40% average score on Rotten Tomatoes. Fans began almost immediately demanded a Zack Snyder cut of the film in response but, as of today, these pleas have fallen on deaf ears. But at least one fan gave us a taste of what that cut may have been like.

What do you all make of this video? Would you have liked to see Zack Snyder’s version of this film or was it doomed from the start? Let us know what you think in the comments below!

Directed by Zack Snyder, Justice League stars Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Gal Gadot, Ezra Miller, Jason Momoa, Ray Fisher, Jeremy Irons, Diane Lane, Connie Nielsen, J. K. Simmons, and Ciarán Hinds.

Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.

Justice League is now available on Blu-Ray, DVD, and Digital HD.
