HBO Asia takes aim at DC’s Justice League once more, this time focusing on the CGI mouth donned by Superman (Henry Cavill).
HBO Asia has had a recent trend of poking fun at 2017’s Justice League. The DC team-up film is available to stream on HBO Go but instead of promoting a film how you typically see it being promoted, HBO Asia has taken a much more tongue-in-cheek approach when it comes to Justice League. The fifth entry in the DC Extended Universe became infamous for what happened during post-production. The post-production on the film led to one of the most iconic aspects, Henry Cavill’s CGI mouth.
During Justice League reshoots, Cavill couldn’t shave his mustache that he had grown for Mission: Impossible-Fallout, so he had to have his mustache CGI’d over to make him look like he normally does as Clark Kent but some fans definitely noticed the digital alteration. HBO Asia recently posted a hilarious tribute to one moment with the CGI mustache via Instagram. Check out the promo in the post below.
Since the release of Warner Bros. and DC’s Justice League, fans have been campaigning for the release of the Snyder Cut, a version of the film that would more accurately portray director Zack Snyder’s original vision. There’s no planned release for the cut just yet but #ReleaseTheSnyderCut is still going strong on social media.
We’ll be sure to keep you updated on all news regarding Justice League as soon as more information becomes available. Did Superman’s CGI mustache bother you in the film? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
