‘Justice League’ Star Ray Fisher Is Down To Replace Wesley Snipes As Blade For The MCU

Ray Fisher Wesley Snipes Blade Cyborg Justice League

Justice League star Ray Fisher has revealed that he would be down to replace Wesley Snipes as Blade for the Marvel Cinematic Universe should he ever get the chance.

Speaking at Celebrity Fan Fest in San Antonio, Texas over the weekend, Ray Fisher told fans that if he could take on any role in the MCU it would be that of Blade. The character has not been featured on the silver screen since Wesley Snipes’ third outing as the superhero in 2004’s Blade: Trinity at Fox. However, Marvel Studios has since reacquired the rights to the character. Recent rumors point to Marvel developing a new Blade series for Hulu. The streaming service already has projects for Ghost Rider and Helstrom in development and could be adding Blade to its lineup as well.

So what do you think? Would Ray Fisher be a good choice to play Blade? Or would you rather see someone else besides Ray Fisher in the role? Are there any other superheroes you would like to see Ray Fisher or Wesley Snipes play?

Ray Fisher’s last performance in a superhero film was as Cyborg in 2017’s Justice League. While a standalone Cyborg film was announced as part Warner Bros.’ previous slate, there has been no further news regarding movement on the project. Ray Fisher himself is still hopeful he’ll get the chance to play Cyborg again after Justice League as he also teased his return as the DC superhero during Celebrity Fan Fest, telling fans he doesn’t think his time as the android is over just yet.
