A fan called out DC and Warner Bros. to release the Snyder cut of Zack Snyder’s Justice League during his Director’s Cut charity event.
Zack Snyder offered a Director’s Cut charity event to find resources to help fund a new auditorium for his old art school. The event screened the Dawn of the Dead – Unrated Director’s Cut, Watchmen (Director’s Cut), and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice Ultimate Edition. Of course, the Zack Snyder Justice League director’s cut was nowhere to be found which generated strong reactions from the people attending the event.
During his Q&A, Zack Snyder was asked about him being one of the directors in Hollywood with the most director’s cuts under his belt, and suddenly a fan from the audience screamed to”release the Snyder cut!” followed by applause with Zack Snyder smiling while saying “I see. Subversion. It’s fine.” Check out the exact moment when it happened down below:
DISCUSSION: Zack talks about director’s cut and somebody in the back yells RELEASE THE SNYDER CUT from DC_Cinematic
As you may or may not know, Zack Snyder exited Justice League just before the film was finished in order to take care of his family after his daughter sadly committed suicide. Joss Whedon was in charge of finishing the film but changed Zack Snyder’s tone in the movie altogether. Since Justice League came out, fans have been clamoring for DC and Warner Bros. to release Zack Snyder cut in order to see what the director originally intended for the film.

After Justice League, Aquaman followed. The DCEU continues in April with Shazam! on April 5, 2019, which will be followed by Birds of Prey (And The Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) on February 7, 2020, and Wonder Woman 1984 on June 5, 2020. A standalone Joker film set outside of the DC Films universe starring Joaquin Phoenix as the Clown Prince of Crime is also set to hit theaters October 4, 2019
Here is the synopsis for Shazam! DC’s next film:
We all have a superhero inside us, it just takes a bit of magic to bring it out. In Billy Batson’s (Angel) case, by shouting out one word—SHAZAM!—this streetwise 14-year-old foster kid can turn into the adult Super Hero Shazam (Levi), courtesy of an ancient wizard. Still a kid at heart—inside a ripped, godlike body—Shazam revels in this adult version of himself by doing what any teen would do with superpowers: have fun with them! Can he fly? Does he have X-ray vision? Can he shoot lightning out of his hands? Can he skip his social studies test? Shazam sets out to test the limits of his abilities with the joyful recklessness of a child. But he’ll need to master these powers quickly in order to fight the deadly forces of evil controlled by Dr. Thaddeus Sivana (Strong).
Directed by David F. Sandberg, DC Shazam! stars Zachary Levi, Asher Angel, Mark Strong, Jack Dylan Grazer, Grace Fulton, Faithe Herman, Ian Chen, Jovan Armand, Cooper Andrews, Marta Milans, and Ron Cephas.
Shazam! will be released in theaters on April 5, 2019.
