A brand new batch of character posters from Hawkeye highlights Kate Bishop’s dysfunctional and highly suspect family.
Things aren’t looking too good for Kate Bishop and Clint Barton after the last Hawkeye episode. With a Black Widow assassin hunting Barton, the Avenger has no choice but to relieve Bishop of her duties as his sidekick. If that wasn’t enough to stress Bishop out, things are far from ideal at home.
On the homefront, Bishop feels uneasy as her mother Eleanor and Jack Duquesne continue their courtship. Beyond that, the archer has recently unearthed that Jack is in cahoots with the Tracksuit Mafia. To what extent? Only time will tell as the world’s greatest archers get to the bottom of the mystery.
With the focus on Kate Bishop’s family increasing, Disney Plus has released two new posters that spotlight Eleanor Bishop and Jack Duquesne, who becomes Swordsman in the comics.
It’s more than likely that we see Jack Duquesne assume the role of the Swordsman in the coming episodes as things heat up for the Hawkeye team. For one, both Hawkeye and Kate know he’s got a seedy past that he’s keeping close to his chest. Two, the series has been teasing a sword showdown between Kate and Jack since the first episode, Chekov’s swordfight, if you will.
Here is the synopsis for Hawkeye:
Former Avenger Clint Barton has a seemingly simple mission: get back to his family for Christmas. Possible? Maybe with the help of Kate Bishop, a 22-year-old archer with dreams of becoming a Super Hero. The two are forced to work together when a presence from Barton’s past threatens to derail far more than the festive spirit.
Hawkeye stars Jeremy Renner, Hailee Steinfeld, Tony Dalton, Fra Free, Brian d’Arcy James, Aleks Paunovic, Piotr Adamczyk, Linda Cardellini, Simon Callow, Vera Farmiga and Alaqua Cox. Florence Pugh is expected to return in her Black Widow role.
The first four episodes of Hawkeye are now available to stream on Disney Plus, with new episodes dropping on Wednesdays. Stay tuned for all the latest news surrounding the Jeremy Renner series and be sure to subscribe to Heroic Hollywood’s YouTube channel for more original video content.
