Kathryn Hahn has opened up about the possibility of Mephisto appearing in Agatha: House of Harkness.

Agatha Harkness made her debut in Marvel Studios’ first series WandaVision earlier this year. The series was praised for its inventive use of sitcom tropes, action sequences, writing, and characters, especially Kathryn Hahn’s Agatha. A sinister witch who attempted to harness Wanda’s powers, Agatha quickly became a fan favorite for her humor and character choices. The end of the series left her in a purgatory designed by Scarlett Witch, forever doomed to repeat her life as the bored suburban housewife Agnes.

It was announced earlier this year that Kathryn Hahn would be headlining her own Disney Plus series titled Agatha: House of Harkness. Details on the series are slim, but fans are eagerly awaiting to see Hahn reprise her role as the witch. One thing fans are hoping to see in the series is Mephisto, who was heavily rumored to be in WandaVision. Mephisto’s potential appearance in a Marvel project has become a recurring joke as of late.

However, the demonic Mephisto would actually be perfect for a show focused on witchcraft. In a recent chat with Drew Barrymore, the host asked Kathryn Hahn what the chances of Mephisto appearing in Agatha: House of Harkness were. Hahn touched upon Mephisto’s looming rumored presence over WandaVision, as well as the chances of him appearing in her solo series.

“I keep hearing that. I have no idea. That was like a big thing during WandaVision, but I have no…who knows? Anything is probably possible, but I have never heard anything definitive about that at all.

With the MCU jumping straight into the multiverse and witchcraft with its upcoming projects, it wouldn’t be out of the question to imagine the demonic Mephisto joining the franchise. After all, fans of the franchise have been clamoring to see the villain for quite some time, so Marvel might have some plans for the character.

Here is the synopsis for WandaVision:

Marvel Studios’ “WandaVision” blends the style of classic sitcoms with the Marvel Cinematic Universe in which Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) and Vision (Paul Bettany)—two super-powered beings living their ideal suburban lives—begin to suspect that everything is not as it seems.

Matt Shakman directed the series with Jac Schaeffer as the lead scribe with Kevin Feige producing; WandaVision stars Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch, Paul Bettany as The Vision, Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau, Kat Dennings as Darcy Lewis, Randall Park as Agent Jimmy Woo, Evan Peters as Ralph Bohner, and Kathryn Hahn as Agatha Harkness.

WandaVision is available to stream on Disney Plus. Keep following along to stay up to date on all of the latest surrounding upcoming MCU projects including the future of Kathryn Hahn as Agatha Harkness, and subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content!
