Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige revealed that he believes Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlet Witch could have defeated Thanos in Avengers: Endgame.

During the thrilling final battle of Avengers: Endgame, Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlet confronted Thanos with the intention of seeking revenge against the Mad Titan for the death of Vision. While Elizebeth Olsen’s Scarlet Witch seemed to have Thanos fate within her grasp, the Mad Titan ordered his troops to open fire on the battalion of heroes, forcing Wanda to let go of her grip and release the villain.

Since then, fans have been debating over the outcome of the battle and who would have emerged victoriously had Thanos not ordered his troops to intervene. Now, Marvel Studios’ president Kevin Feige has weighed in on the matter, revealing that he believes Thanos would have been defeated had Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlet Witch not been forced to retreat:

“Wanda Maximoff, who is probably near the upper echelons of power – I contend she would have taken down Thanos if he hadn’t called the [army], it was done.”
