Kevin Feige recently teased when fans will get more insight on the next big Marvel Cinematic Universe saga.

By the time we got to the end of Phase One, we had a pretty good idea that Marvel Studios was building towards Thanos and the Infinity Stones. Avengers: Endgame wrapped up the Infinity Saga a few years back, with fans wondering where Kevin Feige is taking the Marvel Cinematic Universe next.

Marvel’s Multiverse Saga?

Based on Loki, Spider-Man: No Way Home, and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, it seems the next Marvel Studios saga will focus on the Multiverse and lead to Secret Wars. However, Phase Four is coming to a close soon, and unlike past phases, we aren’t culminating with an Avengers film. With significant conventions such as San Diego Comic-Con and D23 on the horizon, Kevin Feige shared with Total Film that Marvel Studios will be revealing more of their plans soon:

“As we’re nearing the end of Phase 4, I think people will start to see where this next saga is going. I think there have been many clues already, that are at least apparent to me, of where this whole saga is going. But we’ll be a little more direct about that in the coming months, to set a plan, so audiences who want to see the bigger picture can see a tiny, tiny, tiny bit more of the roadmap.”

Here is the synopsis for Marvel’s next film, Thor: Love and Thunder:

The film finds Thor (Chris Hemsworth) on a journey unlike anything he’s ever faced – a quest for inner peace. But his retirement is interrupted by a galactic killer known as Gorr the God Butcher (Christian Bale), who seeks the extinction of the gods. To combat the threat, Thor enlists the help of King Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson), Korg (Taika Waititi) and ex-girlfriend Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), who – to Thor’s surprise – inexplicably wields his magical hammer, Mjolnir, as the Mighty Thor. Together, they embark upon a harrowing cosmic adventure to uncover the mystery of the God Butcher’s vengeance and stop him before it’s too late.

Directed by Taika Waititi and produced by Kevin Feige and Brad Winderbaum, the Marvel Studios film stars Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Christian Bale, Chris Pratt, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Vin Diesel, Pom Klementieff, Sean Gunn, and Russell Crowe.

Thor: Love and Thunder hits theaters on July 8, 2022. Stay tuned for all the latest news surrounding Kevin Feige’s plans for the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and subscribe to Hero Hollywood’s YouTube channel for more original video content.
