Kevin Smith Reveals Favorite Moment From Margot Robbie’s ‘Birds Of Prey’

Kevin Smith revealed one of his favorite moments from Margot Robbie’s Birds of Prey (And The Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn).

Warner Bros.’ Birds of Prey marked the long-awaited return of Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn and pit the anti-heroine against the crime boss known as Black Mask. Of course, the sadistic villain was ultimately defeated by the titular team of women after Cassandra Cain, who was being held hostage by Black Mask, managed to slip a grenade into his pocket that exploded as he fell from a pier.

Now, fans have been able to re-watch Birds of Prey on sooner than expected after Warner Bros. opted to release the DC feature digitally earlier than expected and Kevin Smith has been one of many to revisit the Margot Robbie film. In a post on his official Twitter account, Kevin Smith revealed that one of his favorite moments in the film is when Black Mask delivers the line, “You’re a f***ing moron!” just moments before his demise. The fan-favorite filmmaker added that Birds of Prey is filled with great one-liners and thanked director Cathy for her work.

Here is the official synopsis for Birds of Prey:

“You ever hear the one about the cop, the songbird, the psycho and the mafia princess? Birds of Prey (And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) is a twisted tale told by Harley herself, as only Harley can tell it. When Gotham’s most nefariously narcissistic villain, Roman Sionis, and his zealous right-hand, Zsasz, put a target on a young girl named Cass, the city is turned upside down looking for her. Harley, Huntress, Black Canary and Renee Montoya’s paths collide, and the unlikely foursome have no choice but to team up to take Roman down.”

Directed by Cathy Yan from a script penned by Bumblebee writer Christina Hodson, Birds of Prey stars Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Huntress, Jurnee Smollett-Bell as Black Canary, Ella Jay Basco as Cassandra Cain, Rosie Perez as Renee Montoya, Chris Messina as Victor Zsasz, Ewan McGregor as Black Mask, and Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn. Ali Wong, Robert Catrini, and Michael Masini have also been cast in undisclosed roles.

Birds of Prey is now playing in theaters and will be available for digital rental on March 24.
