Spider-Man has some banger villains down the pipeline! Kingpin, Venom and Prowler are just a few highlighted in a massive rumor about the upcoming saga.
With Spider-Man officially set to kick off his second saga next year, there’s been a lot of discussion about who the leading villains of the next few films might be. This is doubly important as all signs point to Tom Holland bowing out from the role at the end of this trilogy, meaning Marvel has to make their picks truly count.
And it seems as though Marvel, for once, is planning ahead with this saga. The latest rumor round-up from Alex Perez at The Cosmic Circus suggests that some major player are set to make their big screen debut in the coming Spider-Man films. This includes familiar faces like Kingpin and Venom, as well as new entries like Tombstone, Hammerhead, and Prowler.
Who Will Be The Next Spider-Man Villains?
Admittedly, anyone could have called the inclusion of Venom and Kingpin a mile away. Those two are likely to be the next “big villains” in the Spider-Man saga, with Venom being the leading antagonist of the sequel and Kingpin the final boss for Tom Holland’s hero to fight. This would also provide an interesting place to include Prowler, potentially serving as Kingpin’s henchmen like in the Spider-Verse series of films.
The rumor also lines up with what one could expect from a Venom-focused film. When Spider-Man gets the symbiote, he’s likely to be much more violent. This means that his enemies will need to be a lot stronger, with mobsters like Tombstone and Hammerhead able to dish out violence, as well as being able to take some pretty strong hits from the hero.
