Is Kit Connor finally making his way to the Marvel Cinematic Universe? The Heartstopper actor speaks on the recent rumor that he’s been cast as the MCU’s Hulkling.
With Joe Locke all but confirmed to be playing Wiccan in Agatha All Along, fans know it’s only a matter of time until Marvel finds their Hulkling. A lot of names have been circiling the rumor mill as to who could play the iconic Skrull/Kree hybrid in the MCU. However, the one that’s recently come out on top is Kit Connor.
Kit Connor played opposite of Joe Locke in Heartstopper, actually serving as his love interest in the series. To many fans, this makes Connor the perfect choice to play Hulkling in the MCU, if only because the star has a baked in chemistry with Wiccan’s actor. This led the internet to accept the rumor wholecloth, assuming it to be true without confirmation.
Is Kit Connor Playing The MCU’s Hulkling?
It seems Marvel rumors can only last so long until someone approaches the actor himself. Kit Connor was recently asked if he’d be joining his Heartstopper star Joe Locke in the MCU. His response? The rumor that he’s been cast as Hulkling is false, if only because he doesn’t want to encroach on his friend’s spotlight of playing Wiccan.
“No I’m not, not that I know of,” Connor explained in a recent talk with MTV. “My friend Joe [Locke] is heavily involved in Marvel and has an exciting project coming up. I wouldn’t wanna cramp his style.”
Of course, Kit Connor wouldn’t be the first Marvel star to lie about his involvement in the MCU. However, given how far out a Young Avengers project likely is, there’s no certainty either way on if anyone has been cast to play Hulkling. Though given Joe Locke’s debut as Wiccan is around the corner, it may be best to keep an ear to the rumor mill just in case!
