Black Widow Voice Actress Lake Bell Spotted On ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ Set

Who is she playing?

Lake Bell What If Black Widow Wakanda Forever

What If…?‘s Black Widow voice actress Lake Bell appears to have joined the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever production.

Earlier this year, Marvel Studios enlisted Lake Bell to voice Black Widow for What If…?, the studio’s first animated series. Bell voiced Natasha Romanoff for three episodes, and will likely return to voice the character in the show’s upcoming season. The Childrens Hospital star was praised for being able to mimic Scarlett Johansson’s tone, whilst also bringing her own unique flavor to the character. Now it looks like Bell’s relationship with Marvel Studios is now set to also extend to the big screen.

A recent photo shows Lake Bell on the Atlanta set of Ryan Coogler’s Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, implying that she’s joined the cast for the highly anticipated sequel.

It’s unclear who Lake Bell is set to play in the upcoming Black Panther sequel. It’s surprising that this is the first time that the Black Widow voice actress was spotted on set as the sequel has been in production for months. Details on Black Panther: Wakanda Forever are slim, though it has been suggested that T’Challa’s sister Shuri will take on the mantle of the legendary hero. As for Bell’s casting, it’s doubtful,  but it would be interesting to see if the events of What If…? have any ramifications for the live-action Marvel Cinematic Universe films.

Here is the synopsis for the first Black Panther film:

After the death of his father, the king of Wakanda, young T’Challa returns home to the isolated high-tech African nation to succeed to the throne and take his rightful place as king. But when a powerful enemy reappears, T’Challa’s mettle as king – and Black Panther – is tested when he’s drawn into a formidable conflict that puts the fate of Wakanda and the entire world at risk. Faced with treachery and danger, he must release the full power of Black Panther to defeat his foes and secure the safety of his people and their way of life.

Directed by Ryan Coogler, the film stars Chadwick Boseman, Michael B. Jordan, Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira, Martin Freeman, Daniel Kaluuya, Letitia Wright, Winston Duke, Angela Bassett, Forest Whitaker, and Andy Serkis.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever will hit theaters on November 11, 2022. Stay tuned for all the latest news surrounding Letitia Wright’s future in the MCU, and be sure to subscribe to Heroic Hollywood’s YouTube channel for more original video content!
