Does the Green Lantern series actually look…good? The trailer for Lanterns teases a truly mind-blowing experience out of the DC Universe.
One of the most heartbreaking pieces of news to come out of the DC Universe last year was the confirmation thatLanterns had been delayed from early 2026 to the end of summer. Not only did it mean fans got their hands on the series later, but it also meant promotions for the Green Lantern show have been slow rolling.
Yet with spring just around the corner, it seems the DC Universe is finally putting marketing into high gear. After a small teaser yesterday, the official trailer for Lanterns has finally hit the net. And while there are certainly still questions to be answered about the Green Lantern show, it certainly seems the series is off to a strong start with fans.
The Story Of Lanterns
Lanterns may not be exactly what fans were expecting out of a Green Lantern series. Instead of focusing on massive, space-faring adventures, the show is set to focus on a mystery sitting in the heart of small-town America. The project will feature the debut of Aaron Pierre as John Stewart, with Kyle Chandler taking on the role of his mentor Hal Jordan.
There are plenty of candidates when it comes to what sits at the heart of Lanterns’ mystery. Some common reports leading up to the trailer debut included Atrocitus, Black Hand, and the Manhunters. However, perhaps the most likely candidate is The Centre. It’s a living dinosaur island, with the Green Lantern show potentially showing fans the first “big bad” of the DC Universe.
The Green Lantern series Lanterns is set to debut in HBO later this year. Stay tuned for the latest news regarding the future of the DC Universe!
