Disney Plus continues to expand the Star Wars universe and its newest addition is a big one. The much-anticipated second trailer for Ahsoka has finally been released, revealing the live-action adaptation of the iconic character Grand Admiral Thrawn, brought to life by actor Lars Mikkelsen.
Lars Mikkelsen is no stranger to the world of Star Wars. The accomplished Danish actor previously lent his voice to the cunning and strategic character in the animated series Star Wars Rebels. His interpretation was lauded for encapsulating Thrawn’s icy demeanor and intellect, but now, Star Wars fans will see this depiction in a new light. Check out the trailer below, along with a poster featuring Ahsoka.
The new series, part of Disney’s expansion of the Star Wars universe, will delve deeper into Ahsoka Tano’s story, particularly her adventures post-Rebels. The sneak peek suggests a darker, more mysterious atmosphere, further heightened by the presence of Lars Mikkelsen’s Thrawn.
An alien military strategist and tactician from the planet Csilla, Thrawn was first introduced in Timothy Zahn’s 1991 novel Heir to the Empire. He quickly became a fan-favorite character and his popularity only grew with subsequent appearances in novels, comic books, and animated series like Star Wars Rebels.
Who is working on the Ahsoka Tano series?
