Eternals star Lauren Ridloff addressed the debate on who would win in a race between Makkari and The Flash.

Lauren Ridloff’s Makkari is the latest speedster to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe but is notably the first deaf woman with the ability. In Eternals, we also get to see a new take on superspeed in the MCU displayed by Makkari, who has had the powers for ages.

Of course, whenever a new speedy hero is introduced, they are instantly put up against The Flash. During an interview with CineXpress, Lauren Ridloff shared her thoughts on who would win in a race between The Flash and Makkari:

“Okay, so this is a conversation I had with my son. When he first found out that I was going to be the fastest woman in the universe he said, ‘No you’re not.’ He brought over his laptop and looked into the computer and said, ‘Look! It’s true! Flash is faster than Makkari.’ But I’m sure Makkari…because she travels faster than the speed of sound.”

Here is the synopsis for Lauren Ridloff’s Eternals:

“The story takes place across two time periods. One storyline is set in the past when they operated as a formidable team and a close family unit. The second storyline is in the present, when the group has fractured and split apart, content to live among humans, hiding in plain sight. The prevailing threat of the Deviants, which once again threatens the existence of mankind, means the Eternals need to put their differences aside and regroup.”

Chloe Zhao directed Eternals from a script she co-wrote with Patrick Burleigh, Kaz Firpo, and Ryan Firpo. The cast of the Marvel Studios project includes Gemma Chan as Sersi, Richard Madden as Ikaris, Kumail Nanjiani as Kingo, Lia McHugh as Sprite, Brian Tyree Henry as Phastos, Lauren Ridloff as Makkari, Barry Keoghan as Druig, Don Lee as Gilgamesh, Kit Harington as Dane Whitman, Salma Hayek as Ajak, and Angelina Jolie as Thena.

Eternals is now in cinemas. Stay tuned for all the latest news surrounding the future of Lauren Ridloff as Makkari in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and be sure to subscribe to Heroic Hollywood’s YouTube channel for more original video content.
