No Time To Die‘s Léa Seydoux has officially been cast in Denis Villeneuve’s Dune: Part Two in the role of Lady Margot, a member of the Bene Gesserit.

Denis Villeneuve’s highly anticipated sequel to last year’s Dune: Part One is shaping up, adding yet another star to its impressive cast. While the first film adapted the first half of the novel, the second will complete Villeneuve’s adaptation of Frank Herbert’s seminal sci-fi work.

Many of the novel’s characters are yet to be introduced to Villeneuve’s version of Dune and Léa Seydoux’s Lady Margot is just one of many who will make their first appearance in Part Two.

‘Dune: Part Two’ Assembles An All-Star Cast

Léa Seydoux is in good company for the Dune sequel. She will be appearing alongside Hollywood legend Christopher Walken as Emperor Shaddam IV, Baz Luhrmann’s Elvis star Austin Butler as Feyd-Rautha, and Marvel’s Black Widow and Hawkeye star Florence Pugh as Princess Irulan Corrino.

In Frank Herbert’s novel, Lady Margot is the wife of Count Hasimir Fenring and a Sister of the Bene Gesserit. As Fenring’s wife, Lady Margot was aligned to House Corrino, though her supreme loyalty lay with the Bene Gesserit and she had attempted to warn Lady Jessica Atreides of the Harkonnens’ planned treachery when House Atreides arrived on Arrakis.

Here is the synopsis for Dune:

Set in the distant future, Dune tells the story of Paul Atreides whose family accepts control of the desert planet Arrakis. As the only producer of a highly valuable resource, control of Arrakis is highly contested among the noble families. After Paul and his family are betrayed, the story explores themes of politics, religion, and man’s relationship to nature as Paul leads a rebellion to restore his family’s control of Arrakis.

Denis Villeneuve directed Dune from a script he co-wrote with Eric Roth and Jon Spaihts. The film stars Timothee Chalamet, Zendaya, Rebecca Ferguson, Dave Bautista, Stellan Skarsgard, Charlotte Rampling, Oscar Isaac, Josh Brolin, Jason Momoa, Javier Bardem, and David Dastmalchian.

Dune is now available on home media formats, with Part Two hitting theaters on October 20, 2023. Stay tuned for all the latest news surrounding the upcoming sequel and be sure to subscribe to Heroic Hollywood’s YouTube channel for more original video content.
