NBA superstar LeBron James says that his upcoming film, Space Jam 2 will maintain its release date despite the coronavirus pandemic.
The coronavirus pandemic has affected the entertainment industry in ways that can only be described as unprecedented. Productions for film and television shows have been shut down, actors have been infected, and the release dates for several films have been pushed back. But Lebron James seems confident that his upcoming Space Jam film will maintain its release date.
During a recent interview on the Road Trippin’ Podcast, LeBron James discussed the coronavirus and its effects on Space Jam 2. He seemed confident that Space Jam 2 would still be released in July of 2021 but admitted that production for the film had slowed down:
“Space Jam has always been scheduled to come out in June of 2021. So we’re kind of ok. And a lot of it right now is animation, so being indoors is actually great for us. So we’re still on. Just like everything in the world, everything is slowed down a little bit, but we’re still on target. I’m looking forward to it. During this time right now, I wish we could release it right now, man, and give people some things to watch in their households. But we got until next year, next summer. We’re excited about it.”
