Linda Hamilton has wrapped filming on the upcoming sixth installment of the Terminator franchise.
Plot details for the film remain under wraps, though it will be a direct sequel to Terminator 2: Judgment Day, ignoring all other sequels in the franchise. James Cameron returns to produce the new film which is being helmed by Deadpool director Tim Miller.
Cameron previously revealed his plans to revive the Terminator franchise and reinvent the film series with a new trilogy. Both Hamilton and Arnold Schwarzenegger are reprising their roles as Sarah Connor and the Terminator, but the new film will serve to introduce new characters to pass the baton to.
Actress Fruzsina Cseh shared a photo on social media (h/t The Terminator Fans) from the project’s wrap party featuring Hamilton. You can check it out below.
Directed by Tim Miller from a script written by Billy Ray, David S. Goyer, Justin Rhodes, Josh Friedman and Charles H. Eglee, Terminator 6 stars Mackenzie Davis, Gabriel Luna, Natalia Reyes, Diego Boneta with Arnold Schwarzenegger and Linda Hamilton as Sarah Conner. James Cameron returns to the franchise as a producer and conceived the story with Miller and David Ellison.
Terminator 6 will be released in theaters on November 1, 2019.
