‘Logan’ Director Reveals Hugh Jackman Never Wore Classic Wolverine Costume

Logan director James Mangold reveals Hugh Jackman never donned the classic Wolverine costume that fans glimpsed in a deleted scene.

Although X-Men fans were desperate to see Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine suit up in the classic yellow costume from the comics, director James Mangold revealed that the star never even tried on the uniform. The live-action suit briefly appeared in a deleted scene from The Wolverine, teasing fans with the possibility of seeing Hugh Jackman wear the comic-accurate look. However, the director of Logan recently confirmed that Jackman never even put on the costume.

During ComicBook.com’s Quarantine Watch Party of Logan, Mangold revealed that they never even made a full costume to match the Wolverine cowl. The director explained that this version of the character wouldn’t wear a “self promoting ‘uniform.'” Mangold suggested that when the mutant eventually arrives in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, he’ll probably end up wearing a version of the suit from the comics. Although the Logan director shot down the hopes surrounding the classic Wolverine costume, he did give fans a look at concept art from the beginning of the film.

Do you think his explanation is justified? Or do you think they missed a golden opportunity for Hugh Jackman to wear the classic Wolverine costume? Sound off in the comments below!
