Fans who stuck around after the credits rolled on the premiere of Loki season 2 were greeted with a shocking appearance by Sylvie, played by Sophia Di Martino. While most of the episode focuses on Tom Hiddleston’s God of Mischief following the season 1 finale, the short scene shows exactly where Sylvie ended up after her confrontation with He Who Remains. Specifically, she ends up at a McDonalds in Broxton, Oklahoma.

This scene aligns with recent clips teasing the reunion of Sylvie and Loki at mid-80s McDonalds, with the former working as a cashier. However, the scene also seems to give audiences a glimpse into Sylvie’s core arc throughout the remainder of the season. While Tom Hiddleston’s God of Mischief seems relatively adjusted to working with others, Sylvie’s yearning for close relationships is reflected in her longing looks at the restaurant’s patrons, reinforced by her desire to “try everything.”

It’s currently unclear if Sylvie’s job at McDonalds will serve as anything other than a fun set piece for the eventual reunion between her and Tom Hiddleston’s Loki. However, it certainly seems as though the series is setting her up for one emotional storyline, something fans are sure to be screaming “I’m Lovin’ It!” for.

Who else is attached to Loki season two?

Tom Hiddleston is spearheading the cast of Loki season 2 as the titular God of Mischief. The cast also includes Owen Wilson, Jonathan Majors, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Wunmi Mosaku, Tara Strong, Eugene Cordero, Rafael Casal, Kate Dickie, Liz Carr, Ke Huy Quan and Neil Ellice.

Eric Martin replaced Michael Waldron as the head writer of Loki for its second season. Martin and Waldron also serve as executive producers on the series alongside Tom Hiddleston, Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead. Benson and Moorhead directed the majority of the episodes for the upcoming season.
