The anticipation for the return of Marvel’s Disney Plus series Loki is building at an unprecedented pace. A brand new television spot for the upcoming second season has been released online, and it’s packed with never-before-seen footage of fan-favorite characters.

The latest television spot for Loki provides a fresh look at familiar faces. There’s the titular character played by Tom Hiddleston, ever at the heart of chaos, and Owen Wilson’s Mobius, whose dynamic with the God of Mischief was a focal point of the previous season. We also get a glance at Victor Timely. Played by Jonathan Majors, Timely is a variant of Kang, who is expected to serve as the main villain of the next two Avengers movies.

Loki has been a significant part of Marvel’s expansion into serialized storytelling on Disney Plus, though CEO Bob Iger is reportedly looking to cut back on MCU and Star Wars content. Season 2 is expected to further explore the Time Variance Authority’s workings and delve deeper into the history of Kang the Conqueror and his variants.

While details about the second season of Loki are still largely under wraps, it’s clear that the show will be exploring some exciting new territory. The first season of the Marvel series was a critical and commercial success, with many praising Tom Hiddleston’s performance as the God of Mischief. The show also introduced viewers to Sophia Di Martino’s Sylvie, a variant of Loki who quickly became a fan favorite.

Who else is attached to Loki season two?

Tom Hiddleston is spearheading the cast of Loki season two as the titular God of Mischief. The cast also includes Owen Wilson, Jonathan Majors, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Wunmi Mosaku, Tara Strong, Eugene Cordero, Rafael Casal, Kate Dickie, Liz Carr, Ke Huy Quan and Neil Ellice.

Eric Martin replaced Michael Waldron as the head writer of Loki for its second season. Martin and Waldron also serve as executive producers on the series alongside Tom Hiddleston, Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead. Benson and Moorhead directed the majority of the episodes for the upcoming season.

Loki season two is expected to premiere next Summer on Disney Plus. Stay tuned for the latest news regarding the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and make sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content!
