Amazon will drop the first trailer for The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power during Super Bowl LVI this Sunday.
Super Bowl LVI is this Sunday, and news is slowly coming out on which projects we can expect to see during the big game. One of them will be Amazon’s expensive Lord of the Rings series, which recently revealed its title and 20 character posters that hint at the show’s major scale.
The Rings of Power won’t hit Amazon Prime Video until September, but the studio is wasting no time getting the word out that their series is on the way. The upcoming series will take place thousands of years before the events of the Peter Jackson films and explore Middle-Earth’s Second Age.
The showrunners teased The Rings of Power will feature “the forging of the rings, the rise of the Dark Lord Sauron, the epic tale of Númenor, and the Last Alliance of Elves and Men.” You can see the clever reveal for the trailer announcement below.
