Lucas Till X-Men Havok Ezra Miller DC Flash

Amidst fan speculation that Warner Bros. could be looking to recast the Flash, one concept design imagines X-Men: First Class star Lucas Till taking over from Ezra Miller as the Scarlet Speedster.

Ezra Miller will next be appearing as Barry Allen in next year’s The Flash, their first standalone appearance as the character since first appearing in the role in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice in 2016. Since then, Miller has portrayed the Flash in Suicide Squad and both cuts of Justice League, as well as brief TV appearances in the Arrow episode “Crisis on Infinite Earths: Part Four” and the Peacemaker episode “It’s Cow or Never.”

Following Miller’s recent arrests, some fans are expecting to see Warner Bros. recast the DC character for future appearances beyond The Flash. A new concept design, shared on Instagram by artist “,” casts Lucas Till as DC’s new Barry Allen. Till will be known to comic book movie fans for his appearances as Alex Summers, A.K.A. Havok, in the X-Men prequels First Class, Days of Future Past and Apocalypse. Check out how Till could look suited up as the Flash in the impressive artwork below:

In addition to his role in the X-Men movies, Lucas Till got to try his hand at playing a superhero early on in his career when he appeared in the 2011 independent superhero/horror movie All Superheroes Must Die. Till has certainly proved he could take on a character like the Flash should Warner Bros. ever look to replace Ezra Miller as the character in the DCEU.

Ezra Miller’s Flash can next be seen when The Flash arrives in theaters next year. Directed by Andy Muschietti from a script written by Birds of Prey scribe Christina Hodson, The Flash is inspired by the Flashpoint comic book storyline, which followed Barry Allen as he navigated an altered DC Universe. Written by Geoff Johns and penciled by Andy Kuber, Flashpoint radically altered the status of the DC Comics universe and led to the launch of the New 52 titles.

In addition to Ezra Miller, The Flash also features Michael Keaton and Ben Affleck as two separate versions of Batman, Ron Livingston as Henry Allen, Maribel Verdú as Nora Allen, Kiersey Clemons as Iris West, Michael Shannon as General Zod, Antje Traue as Faora-Ul and Sasha Calle as Supergirl. Saoirse-Monica Jackson, Rudy Mancuso and Luke Brandon Field are also on board in undisclosed roles.

The Flash opens on June 23, 2023. Stay tuned for all the latest news regarding the DC film and make sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content!
