The Rotten Tomatoes score for Madame Web has officially been revealed. Will Sony Pictures make a Madame Webillion dollars, or is it yet another flop of a Spider-Man spin-off?
Love is in the hearts of people across the world this Valentine’s Day. However, it’s clear that love doesn’t extend to Sony Pictures or Madame Web. The Rotten Tomatoes score for their newest Spider-Man spin-off has been revealed, leaving the not-at-all anticipated superhero flick at a dismal 17%!
Nobody truly expected Madame Web would be good given Sony Pictures’ history of critical flops with Marvel movies. However, a score in the sub-20s puts the film up there with other Rotten Tomatoes titans like Morbius and Howard the Duck. While it’s possible Kraven the Hunter could be a surprising masterpiece, it may be time for Sony to get out of the Spider-Man spin-off game.
Who else is attached to the Madame Web movie?
Madame Web is an upcoming superhero movie based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name, who made her first appearance in the pages of The Amazing Spider-Man #210. The movie is being directed by S.J. Clarkson, a British television director who has previously worked on episodes of Marvel’s Jessica Jones and Marvel’s Defenders.
The Madame Web movie is expected to explore the origin story of the titular character and her first journey in the Sony Universe of Marvel Characters. Its cast also includes Dakota Johnson, Sydney Sweeney, Celeste O’Connor, Isabela Merced, Tahar Rahim, Mike Epps, Adam Scott and Zosia Mamet.
Madame Web hit theaters on February 14, 2024. Stay tuned for the latest news regarding the future of the Sony Universe of Marvel Characters and make sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content!
