Was Peacemaker always setting up Man of Tomorrow? A rumor for the upcoming sequel suggests that one major cast member is set to make their return.
The ending of Peacemaker season 2 left fans with a lot of questions. How will these events play into Man of Tomorrow? What’s the true nature of Salvation? And, perhaps most importantly, where will fans see the show’s cast again with the series seemingly finishing its run after this second season.
Yet it seems the rumor mill has the answer to at least one of these questions. Scooper MyTimeToShineHello reveals that Sol Rodriguez, who played Sasha Bordeaux in Peacemaker season 2, is set to make her return in Man of Tomorrow. If true, this may suggest that other cast members that joined her at Checkmate- such as Steve Agee’s John Economos or Tim Meadows’ Agent Fleury- could also be making their return.
How Peacemaker’s Cast Plays Into Man Of Tomorrow
With how little fans know about Man of Tomorrow, it’s hard to pinpoint exactly what will Sol Rodriguez will play when she makes her return in the film. Given the events of Peacemaker heavily involved the QUC, it’s possible that Lois Lane tracks down Checkmate for more information about the mysterious technology.
Her return could also set the stage for ARGUS opposing Checkmate in the future of the DC Universe. Given Man of Tomorrow will likely be the film leading the current storyline for the franchise, any characters making their return will likely be key to James Gunn’s plans. So it’s possible that Sol Rodriguez may play a bigger role than anyone expects.
