Manny Montana has officially been cast as a series regular in Marvel Studios’ upcoming Disney Plus series, Ironheart.
Ironheart will follow Riri Williams, played by Dominique Thorne, a young tech genius who creates a suit similar to Tony Stark’s Iron Man armor. Ironheart was introduced in Marvel’s comic continuity in 2016. The Disney Plus adaptation does not yet have a release date, but is now filming. Thorne’s Riri Williams will make her MCU debut this November in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.
Manny Montana’s Mystery Role
Manny Montana has previously appeared in the TV series Good Girls, Westworld and Mayans M.C. While it is not yet known who he will be playing in the Marvel series, it has been confirmed that Montana will appear as a series regular opposite Dominique Thorne’s Riri Williams.
Plot details for Ironheart are still under wraps, but the series is rumored to connect to Armor Wars, another upcoming Disney Plus series, which will be led by Don Cheadle’s James “Rhodey” Rhodes/War Machine, Tony Stark’s close friend and fellow armored Avenger.
It has also been confirmed that Black Panther: Wakanda Forever director Ryan Coogler will have some involvement with Ironheart, presumably overseeing the elements of the series that overlap with his upcoming Black Panther sequel. Also joining the cast alongside Dominique Thorne and Manny Montana are Anthony Ramos, Harper Anthony and Lyric Ross.
