A new Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD trailer teases Hydra’s role in the upcoming seventh season of the series.
The previous season of Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD concluded with the titular team traveling back to 1930s New York to thwart the Chronicoms’ mission to destroy the organization. Now, IGN has released a new preview for season 7 that teases an unexpected development between S.H.I.E.L.D. and the sinister group known as Hydra.
The preview opens with the Chronicoms making use of their face-stealing technology before showing a series of clips from Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD season 7. However, the new teaser concluded with the Coulson Life Model Decoy and Daisy realizing that in order to save S.H.I.E.L.D. they may have to save Hydra.

Coulson and the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. are thrust backward in time and stranded in 1931 New York City. With the all-new Zephyr set to time-jump at any moment, the team must hurry to find out exactly what happened. If they fail, it would mean disaster for the past, present and future of the world.

The series was co-created by Joss Whedon, Jed Whedon & Maurissa Tancharoen, who also serve as executive producers along with Jeffrey Bell and Jeph Loeb. The series is produced by ABC Studios and Marvel Television for ABC.
