Marvel is set to hold an auction for props belonging to Daredevil and other Netflix shows following their cancellation by the streaming giant.
Netflix recently decided to go through with the cancellation of its Marvel television shows that include Daredevil, The Punisher, Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, Iron Fist, and The Defenders. After these cancellations, fans of the television shows took to social media to help bring the shows back with the #SaveDaredevil campaign. Both Vincent D’Onofrio and Charlie Cox from the Daredevil show spoke publicly about the movement, reminding fans of the campaign to help Daredevil. Now, the recent decision from Marvel to hold an auction for the some of the shows’ props may not be a good sign for the campaign.
Marvel has teamed up with Prop Store to hold a Television Live Auction. The website contains a preview gallery of some of the items that will be available at the auction. It will take place in August and feature more than 750 items. The auction appears to have items from Daredevil, Iron Fist and Luke Cage in particular. If you were a fan of these shows it may be a bittersweet moment. This appears to be the true end for Marvel’s Netflix shows, but at least fans can keep something used on-screen on them.
