The trailer for the Guardians of the Galaxy special offers fans a look at the return of the titular team and their new outfits. We also see Cosmo the Spacedog, who’s being voiced by Academy Award nomonee Maria Bakalova. Check out the trailer below.

The Holiday Special takes place between the events of Thor: Love and Thunder and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. James Gunn has previously said that it runs for about 40 minutes, making it slightly shorter than Marvel’s Werewolf by Night.

The Guardians recently made an appearance in Thor: Love and Thunder. Here is the official synopsis for the Marvel Studios movie:

The film finds Thor (Chris Hemsworth) on a journey unlike anything he’s ever faced – a quest for inner peace. But his retirement is interrupted by a galactic killer known as Gorr the God Butcher (Christian Bale), who seeks the extinction of the gods. To combat the threat, Thor enlists the help of King Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson), Korg (Taika Waititi) and ex-girlfriend Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), who – to Thor’s surprise – inexplicably wields his magical hammer, Mjolnir, as the Mighty Thor. Together, they embark upon a harrowing cosmic adventure to uncover the mystery of the God Butcher’s vengeance and stop him before it’s too late.

Directed by Taika Waititi, Thor: Love and Thunder stars Chris Hemsworth, Christian Bale, Tessa Thompson, Jaimie Alexander, Taika Waititi, Russell Crowe, Natalie Portman, Chris Pratt, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Pom Klementieff, Vin Diesel and Bradley Cooper.
