Marvel’s Kevin Feige Reportedly ‘Solely Focused’ On ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ & ‘Secret Wars’

Kevin Feige locks in!

Are Avengers: Doomsday and Secret Wars saved? Kevin Feige has reportedly put all of his focus on the finales to the MCU’s Multiverse Saga.

If the Multiverse Saga could be described in one word, it would be “overreach”. The MCU was pumping out more content, faster, than it ever had before. This was largely due to mandates by the higher-ups at Disney to try to bring more content to Disney Plus, a process that stretched shipwright Kevin Feige thin.

This left many projects, including reported tentpoles like Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, as absolute messes during production. The general lack of consistency throughout the Multiverse Saga has left fans worried that the MCU’s upcoming money makers – Avengers: Doomsday and Secret Wars – may also be left up a creek without a paddle by Kevin Feige.

Kevin Feige Focuses His Vision

Luckily, it seems as though Kevin Feige is dedicated to ending the Multiverse Saga with a bang. A report from Deadline’s Justin Kroll (on My Mom’s Basement podcast) reveals that the MCU head has put his sole focus on Avengers: Doomsday and Secret Wars across this past year, only stepping away for a few select circumstances.

“Feige has been so stretched thin with the TV shows and all these other things, and then, maybe doing a soft reboot, all these things. He has been solely focused on [Avengers: Doomsday] and Secret Wars for, like, a year straight. Like, this has been it.”

“He puts Jake Schreier as the director of X-Men. Other than that, he’s kind of let Amy Pascal handle a lot of the Spider-Man stuff. He’s focused on this return. So just know that he’s in London all the time. If that dude has his mindset on just the one thing, like he used to do back in the day with Iron Man or Thor, they turn out good. It’s when he has, like, eight other things, it gets a little tougher.”

Given how worried fans have been about Avengers: Doomsday and Secret Wars, especially given the controversial decision to bring back some of the MCU’s oldest stars, it’s a relief to see that Kevin Feige is giving the projects his undivided attention. So while it’s not likely the Multiverse Saga can be completely salvaged, here’s to hoping that the finale can satisfy longtime fans.

Avengers: Doomsday is set to hit theaters in December 2026. Stay tuned for the latest news regarding the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe!
