Marvel Chief Creative Officer Kevin Feige breaks his silence on Martin Scorsese and his harsh comments about Marvel movies.
Martin Scorsese has been the talk of the town ever since his controversial comments on Marvel Studios films. Marvel CCO Kevin Feige has been pretty quiet on the subject, while the rest of the talent involved with Marvel have already revealed their thoughts. If you were wondering what Kevin Feige thinks about the Martin Scorsese controversy, the CCO recently appeared on The Hollywood Reporter’s Awards Chatter podcast and he had this to say:
I think that’s not true. I think it’s unfortunate, I think myself and everyone who works on these movies loves cinema, loves movies, loves going to the movies, loves to watch a communal experience in a movie theater full of people.
It seems that Kevin Feige is unbothered by the Martin Scorsese controversy and is moving on with his duties at Marvel. Martin Scorsese, on the other hand, recently published an op-ed in the New York Times defending his comments on Marvel films and the director is sticking to his guns. Marvel fans around the world have been pretty outspoken with their disagreement about his comments and it’ll be interesting to see how long this stays in the news.
What do you think of the entire Martin Scorsese Marvel debacle? Do you think Kevin Feige should have responded? Sound off in the comments section!
