Is Mike Colter officially back at Luke Cage? The latest rumor suggests that yet another of Marvel’s Netflix squad will be making their return in the MCU proper.
One of the biggest questions on people’s minds ever since Marvel brought Charlie Cox back as Daredevil is what other Netflix stars may make their way to the MCU. Since then, both Jon Bernthal and Krysten Ritter have been confirmed to return as The Punisher and Jessica Jones respectively. However, this has left many wondering if heroes like Mike Colter’s Luke Cage or Finn Jones’ Danny Rand would make their return as well.
Now it seems at least one more hero is confirmed to make their return. In a rumor corroborated by both DanielRPK and MyTimeToShineHello, the leakers confirmed that Mike Colter would reprise his role as Luke Cage in the MCU. While it’s not clear which project specifically he’ll be making an appearance in, Marvel certainly has no shortage of opportunities to bring him back.
When Will Mike Colter Return As Luke Cage?
The most likely place for Mike Colter to appear as Luke Cage is Daredevil: Born Again season 2. Marvel has already confirmed that Krysten Ritter will return to her role as Jessica Jones in the project, so it only makes sense that her paramour would appear too. This is doubly the case as there is no other project in the MCU that incorporates characters from the Netflix projects (at least, whose cast isn’t already bursting at the seams).
It’s also possible that Mike Colter makes a small cameo as Luke Cage in Avengers: Doomsday. Given the Multiverse Saga is meant to celebrate Marvel projects, even those outside the MCU, it wouldn’t be shocking if the studio would want to bring in their Netflix heroes for at least a small scene on the silver screen.
