The actress now seems to be in the crosshairs of Marvel Studios. A new rumor from scooper MyTimeToShineHello suggests that Rachel Zegler is being eyed for a role in the MCU. No role was specifically mentioned in relation to Marvel’s interest in the actress, though there are certainly quite a number of characters from the comics she would seemingly be a perfect fit for.

Perhaps the most common MCU fancast for Rachel Zegler is White Tiger. She’s one of the most prominent Latina superheroes in the company’s catalogue, and the character has had a recent surge of interest thanks to Daredevil: Born Again. Given Marvel Studios is likely actively on the hunt for an actress to play Ava Ayala, this rumor may be more accurate than most.
Some other popular ideas for what role Rachel Zegler could play in the MCU include Songbird, a key member of the Thunderbolts, Firestar, Dazzler, and even X-23. It’s unclear if Marvel Studios has plans to introduce a new actress for any of these characters in the MCU. However, it certainly paints a picture of what type of role fans would want to see from Zegler if this rumor is true.
