A sequel for Marvel’s Spider-Man from Insomniac Games is rumored for a 2021 release date on Sony’s PlayStation 5.
Marvel’s Spider-Man hit PlayStation 4 last year to rave reviews and is among the best comic book video games of all-time. The hit game also featured a post credits scene with Norman Osborn trying to revive his son, Harry, with a symbiote. It’s safe to say that Venom will play some role in the next Spider-Man game from Insomnaic Games but there still hasn’t been an official announcement for the sequel. However, there have been teases from Insomniac that a Marvel’s Spider-Man sequel is already in the works.
On a recent episode of the Kinda Funny podcast, former Game Informer senior editor Imran Khan revealed that he heard a sequel for Marvel’s Spider-Man may be Sony’s holiday title for 2021. It is very likely that the upcoming Marvel’s Spider-Man sequel will be exclusively for PlayStation 5 as well, since the new system will launch later next year. This rumor isn’t a surprise given the first Spider-Man game’s success both critically and financially.
