‘Mary Poppins Returns’ NATO Conference Screening Receives Enthusiastic Response

In a recent report, the early screenings for the upcoming film, Mary Poppins Returns wowed it’s audience.

During the film’s official reveal at the AMC Century City Theater, audience’s reactions appeared to be overwhelmingly positive. Sadly, the identities of the audiences had to remain anonymous due to a Non-Disclosure Agreement but it did not stop them from saying what they thought about it. One called it a masterpiece that successfully updated the classic story:

Director Rob Marshall has created a masterpiece in updating one of the most beloved stories of all time. It is an uplifting story and visually lush film, with happy songs, joyous choreography and some just dazzling animated scenes. In Mary Poppins Returns, once again Disney has made a family movie for the ages.

Another who had the opportunity to see the film echoed the sentiment:

Mary Poppins Returns brings back all the wonder and magic of the original film while adding new layers in both music, songs and stunning visuals. The film is sure to be a holiday favorite, so hats off to Rob Marshall.

One even went so far as to call it his/her favorite film of the year:

It is [in all caps] MY FAVORITE MOVIE OF THE YEAR. I grew up with Mary Poppins and love everything about the original, and the sequel absolutely met my high expectations. Loved!

From the sound of things Mary Poppins fans have something to look forward to come December.

In Disney’s “Mary Poppins Returns,” an all new original musical and sequel, Mary Poppins is back to help the next generation of the Banks family find the joy and wonder missing in their lives following a personal loss. Emily Blunt stars as the practically-perfect nanny with unique magical skills who can turn any ordinary task into an unforgettable, fantastic adventure and Lin-Manuel Miranda plays her friend Jack, an optimistic street lamplighter who helps bring light—and life—to the streets of London.

Directed by Rob Marshall from script by David Magee and screen story co-written with John DeLuca, the film stars Emily Blunt, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Ben Whishaw, Emily Mortimer, Julie Walters, Pixie Davis, Nathanael Saleh, Joel Dawson, Colin Firth, Meryl Streep, Angela Lansbury, and Dick Van Dyke.

Mary Poppins Returns will be released in theaters on December 19, 2018.
