Discussing Film reports that Matt Shakman is in talks to direct a 6-episode Marvel Studios for Disney+.
Avengers: Endgame and Spider-Man: Far From Home officially concluded the 23-film Infinity Saga and Marvel Studios is planning to move forward on a new phase that includes television projects for the Disney+ streaming service. Now, Game of Thrones director Matt Shakman is reportedly in talks to helm a 6-episode Marvel Studios for Disney+ and while Discussing Film’s source did not reveal which project for which the filmmaker is being eyed, the outlet speculates WandaVision and Loki are most likely candidates considering both projects are currently in pre-production.
In addition to helming two episodes of Game of Thrones season 7, Matt Shakman’s directing credits include episodes of The Boys, The Good Wife, Billions, Fargo, and It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Marvel reportedly had no comment on the Matt Shakman story.

WandaVision is reportedly aiming to begin production in late September and will star Elizabeth Olsen alongside Paul Bettany. The Disney+ series is said to focus on Scarlet Witch after the events of Avengers: Endgame and will lead into the feature Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
Loki is reportedly planning to start filming in early 2020 with Tom Hiddleston reprising his role as the God of Mischief. However, the Disney+ series will follow the version of Loki who used the Space Stone to escape capture when our heroes traveled back in time and altered events in Avengers: Endgame.
Additional Marvel Studios series’ being developed for Disney include The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Hawkeye, and an animated What If? show.
