The cast of Spider-Man: Brand New Day just keeps getting bigger! An actor from Spider-Man’s previous outings in the MCU teases their return.
There’s a lot of things still up in the air about the cast of Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Though, while many fans are concerned with who the MCU’s next villain will be, others are wondering which actors may or may not make their return in the film. This is especially due to the project seemingly making a distinct break between eras of Tom Holland’s Spider-Man.
Some believe that, given the juvenile nature of many of the prior Spider-Man films in the MCU, Spider-Man: Brand New Day should d o as much as it can to distance itself from prior installments. Others who were a fan of the past few movies insist that, while the project should have its own direction, it shouldn’t leave behind the things that worked.
A Familiar Face In ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’
Now it seems that a character from Spider-Man’s earliest days in the MCU may return…just not who fans may think. Martin Starr, who played Mr. Harrington in all three of Tom Holland’s Spider-Man films so far, teases that he may end up making an appearance in Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
“I’m not allowed…” Starr told The Direct before saying “I’m not at liberty to say.”
While Martin Starr obviously didn’t confirm his return as Mr. Harrington in that quote, the syntax of the sentence certainly suggests there’s something more going on than meets the eye. Though, given Mr. Harrington’s current roles in the MCU, it’s not likely that he’ll be much more than a cameo during a potential appearance in Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
