Michael Rosenbaum Becomes The Flash Wally West ‘For Crisis On Infinite Earths’ In New Image

Michael Rosenbaum Wally West Grant Gustin The Flash

Smallville star Michael Rosenbaum suits up as Wally West for Grant Gustin’s The Flash in this new Crisis on Infinite Earths-inspired concept.

With Crisis on Infinite Earths coming to the small screen soon fans were disappointed to learn that Michael Rosenbaum wouldn’t be back as Lex Luthor for the Arrowverse crossover, especially since his Smallville co-star Tom Welling is reprising his role as Clark Kent, a.k.a. Superman. But that didn’t stop this talented artist from imagining Michael Rosenbaum returning to his Wally West role for Grant Gustin’s The Flash. Fans of the animated Justice League series will remember that Michael Rosenbaum voiced the Wally West version of The Flash.

The concept from Instagram artist Dalton Barrett imagines Michael Rosenbaum as The Flash with a suit inspired by the one worn by Grant Gustin. The concept sees The Flash unmasking at S.T.A.R. Labs, presumably for the dramatic reveal that Michael Rosenbaum is Wally West from another Earth.

Since Smallville star Michael Rosenbaum won’t be returning to the screen as Lex Luthor, would you want to see him in The Flash as Wally West opposite Grant Gustin’s Barry Allen? Drop your thoughts in the comment section below.

Full details on the sixth season of Grant Gustin’s The Flash are currently under wraps, though Heroes alum Sendhil Ramamurthy has joined the cast as Bloodwork. In the comics, Bloodwork is a Central City morgue employee and hemophiliac who developed the ability to transform his flesh into blood-like physiology after experimenting with blood properties. The new season has also been teased to include an antagonist who will be the most personal villain Grant Gustin’s Barry Allen has faced since Eobard Thawne.

Grant Gustin’s The Flash season six will also lead into the The CW’s adaptation of the Crisis on Infinite Earths storyline while the back-half of the season will deal with the fallout from the five-part crossover event. With Arrow coming to an end this fall after concluding its ten-episode eighth season, The Flash will become The CW’s main DC Comics drama and Grant Gustin will seemingly lead the other Arrowverse superheroes forward.

The Flash stars Grant Gustin as Barry Allen / The Flash, Candice Patton as Iris West, Danielle Panabaker as Caitlin Snow / Killer Frost, Carlos Valdes as Cisco Ramon / Vibe, Tom Cavanagh as Harrison Wells, Jesse L. Martin as Joe West, Danielle Nicolet as Cecile Horton, and Hartley Sawyer as Ralph Dibny / Elongated Man.

The Flash season six premieres on October 8, 2019. Stay tuned for the latest news on Michael Rosenbaum and the Grant Gustin series!
