Could Mister Terrific be working for the true villain? Recent Superman set photos suggest a surprising connection across the DC Universe.
Fans have been absolutely geeking over Mister Terrific’s costume in the recent Superman set photos. However, their obsessive staring may have uncovered one of the DC Universe’s biggest secrets. Keen-eyed viewers have realized that the character’s costume shares a logo with the villain Maxwell Lord.
Those entering the fandom with the new DC Universe may see this as a hint to a potential heel turn for Mister Terrific. However, while Maxwell Lord is a villain, he also holds close ties to Justice League International. Given a number of high-profile members of the group are already set to appear in Superman, such as Guy Gardner, this logo may simply reveal the team.
The DC Universe’s New Justice League
With these set photos all but confirming that the Justice League International team is coming to the DC Universe, it’d be useful to take stock of the members. Mister Terrific will obviously be joining Maxwell Lord on the team, along with Guy Gardner. However, it’s also likely the heroes Metamorpho and Hawkgirl will be rounding out the team, given they’ve already been cast for Superman.
As for future members of the Justice League International, a few characters from the comics have already been confirmed to be coming to the DC Universe. These include Booster Gold, Blue Beetle, and even Batman! Though with Maxwell Lord behind the group, it’s likely the team won’t last for long before being taken over by Mister Terrific.
