Disney Plus has released a brand new Moon Knight BTS featurette that is filled to the brim with brand new footage.
If The Batman dominated the cinema screens of March, then Moon Knight is set to take over the small screen later this month. One of the most highly-anticipated projects coming out of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Moon Knight is set to introduce several key elements into the franchise, including key discussions on mental health and the raw power of Egyptian gods.
The footage we’ve seen thus far of Marvel’s latest has been breathtaking, offering viewers a unique look that marries the surreal and supernatural. The latest behind-the-scenes featurette, which sees several key cast members, including lead star Oscar Isaac, is filled with brand new footage that shows off the Disney Plus series’ unique visual language.
Some of the most striking moments from the featurette include Oscar Isaac’s Marc Spector stumbling into Egyptian tombs, a mysterious purple beam – which seems to be instigated by Ethan Hawke’s mysterious Arthur Harrow – flowing out of one of the pyramids, and Spector in hot pursuit of someone in the bustling streets of the city.
The behind-the-scenes featurette, which comes from USA Today Life, also sees Oscar Isaac discussing how the show operates as a character study on Marc Spector, with particular emphasis on the character’s mental health.
Here is the official synopsis for Marvel’s Moon Knight series:
The series follows Steven Grant, a mild-mannered gift-shop employee, who becomes plagued with blackouts and memories of another life. Steven discovers he has dissociative identity disorder and shares a body with mercenary Marc Spector. As Steven/Marc’s enemies converge upon them, they must navigate their complex identities while thrust into a deadly mystery among the powerful gods of Egypt.
