Moon Knight showrunner Jeremy Slater is hopeful that, at some point, the character will team up with the Avengers.

We’re less than one month away from the release of Moon Knight and it certainly looks like a unique one. From Oscar Isaac, bizarre accent, to a trailer that went all over the place, the character sporting multiple looks, the series looks to be memorable regardless of how it turns out. But showrunner Jeremy Slater is hopeful for the character’s future with the Avengers.

When Avengers: Endgame was released back in 2019, the film quickly became one of the biggest films of all time. As of this writing, the movie is currently the second highest-grossing film of all time and is only just behind James Cameron’s Avatar. The future of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, however, is unclear, with Marvel Cinematic Universe producer Kevin Feige actually referring to it as the final Avengers film. But this hasn’t stopped Jeremy Slater from wanting a team-up.

In a recent interview with Total Film Magazine, Jermey Slater opened up about the possibilities of Moon Knight teaming up with the Avengers. While he was hopeful that such a team-up could happen he did not know if it was on the docket:

“The honest answer is I don’t know. Because [Marvel boss] Kevin [Feige] is the guy who decides all that stuff. Look, if it was up to me, he would be part of the Avengers. It’s absolutely not up to me, but I think that is the goal!”

Here is the official synopsis for Marvel’s Moon Knight series:

The series follows Steven Grant, a mild-mannered gift-shop employee, who becomes plagued with blackouts and memories of another life. Steven discovers he has dissociative identity disorder and shares a body with mercenary Marc Spector. As Steven/Marc’s enemies converge upon them, they must navigate their complex identities while thrust into a deadly mystery among the powerful gods of Egypt.

Starring Oscar Isaac, Ethan Hawke, Gaspard Ulliel, and May Calamawy, Moon Knight is set to make its Disney Plus debut on March 30th.
