The latest Moon Knight featurette is filled with a treasure trove of MCU Easter eggs and references.
The Marvel Cinematic Universe is set to expand later this month with the debut of Moon Knight on Disney Plus. From the footage we’ve seen, Moon Knight is unlike anything else the MCU has ever produced. A marriage of psychological horror and action, the latest project from Marvel Studios is set to provide chills and thrills.
A brand new featurette sees stars Oscar Isaac, Ethan Hawke, and May Calamawy in “Marvel Studios Waiting Room”, where the trio lounge around, waiting to talk about the series. The comedic skit is filled to the brim with nods and references to the larger MCU. For one, the two motivational posters behind Isaac feature Thanos and the Watcher.
The dartboard behind Calamawy features one of Hawkeye’s bows and arrows. And perhaps the most hilarious: Doctor Strange is Marvel Studios’ Employee of the Month, which makes sense because he’s set to spearhead their next film.
There are a dozen more easter eggs and nods throughout the promotional video so be sure to pore through it!
Here is the synopsis for Moon Knight:
The series follows Steven Grant, a mild-mannered gift-shop employee, who becomes plagued with blackouts and memories of another life. Steven discovers he has dissociative identity disorder and shares a body with mercenary Marc Spector. As Steven/Marc’s enemies converge upon them, they must navigate their complex identities while thrust into a deadly mystery among the powerful gods of Egypt.
Starring Oscar Isaac, Ethan Hawke, Gaspard Ulliel, and May Calamawy, the series is set to make its Disney Plus debut on March 30th.
