Mordo & Rintrah Get New Looks In ‘Doctor Strange 2’ Promo Art

Mordo returns!

Chiwetel Ejiofor Doctor Strange 2 Master Mordo

Promo art for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness has revealed two brand new looks at Mordo and Rintrah!

Marvel Studios is set to delve even deeper into the multiverse. After the chaos of Spider-Man: No Way Home, Doctor Strange will have no choice but the confront the nefarious mysteries of the multiverse. The first trailer for the Benedict Cumberbatch-led sequel boasted a series of new characters joining the franchise, as well as familiar favorites who have sorely been missed.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will see the good doctor’s former friend and mentor Mordo return. Played by Chiwetel Ejiofor, Mordo’s last appearance saw him renounce his association with The Ancient One and sorcery. Now, the character is set to return in what appears to be a villainous role. Joining him as one of the film’s many foes is Rintrah, a minotaur-like creature from the planet R’Vaal. Comics have depicted Rintrah as a powerful sorcerer but it remains to be seen how the sequel develops the character.

With the film set to release later this summer, new promo art has surfaced online, teasing both Mordo and Rintrah. It remains to be seen in what capacity the two appear in as it’s said that Doctor Strange in the Multiverse will be filled to the brim with cameos from across the multiverse. It would be a shame to see Mordo’s return be relegated simply to a few brief scenes.
