Natalie Portman & Chris Hemsworth Suit Up For ‘Thor: Love And Thunder’ In New Image

This new concept design for Thor: Love and Thunder gives fans a awesome look at how Chris Hemsworth and Natalie Portman could look in costume and ready for battle.

The Thor: Love and Thunder concept poster comes courtesy of Instagram artist Zerologhy, who designed it with the help of fellow artist Jackson_CasperZ.  Obviously, the highlight of this concept is seeing Natalie Portman suited up as Mighty Thor. It’s also always very exciting to see Chris Hemsworth back in action as Marvel’s God of Thunder.

Natalie Portman was reportedly disappointed with how Marvel Studios dismissed original The Dark World director Patty Jenkins’ vision for that film before her exit from the project over creative differences. This is believed to have played a part in Natalie Portman leaving the franchise altogether, but her brief role through archival footage in Avengers: Endgame kept her stamp within the Marvel Cinematic Universe as relevant to the ongoing plot, and now that she can step in the role of the new Thor she has an opportunity to have a stronger heroic presence compared to her previous portrayal as Chris Hemsworth’s love interest.

Thor: Love and Thunder was officially announced at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, where Taika Waititi brought out Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson before surprising the audience with Natalie Portman’s return. Waititi then went on his knees and gave Natalie Portman Thor’s iconic hammer Mjolnir. Unfortunately, Natalie Portman isn’t seen with the powerful hammer in the poster but we can expect to see something official as the film goes into production in the coming months.
