New promo art from Thor: Love and Thunder shows Natalie Portman’s Jane Foster fully suited up as the Goddess of Thunder.

It’s hard to believe that Thor: Love and Thunder is on its way to cinemas later this year. The last solo Thor film, Ragnarok, was released in 2017 to critical and commercial acclaim. The threequel was praised for reinvigorating the character and expanding the cosmic side of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Now, Chris Hemsworth is set to return alongside director Taika Waititi five years later to bring us Thor: Love and Thunder, which will reintroduce a key character from the franchise.

One of the most exciting components of the upcoming sequel is that Natalie Portman’s Jane Foster will be returning. What’s even more exciting is that we’ll be seeing her Mighty Thor. Details on how Foster will become the Goddess of Thunder in the film are slim but we’re sure Taika Waititi has inventive ideas up his sleeves.

As we prep for the first look at the film, which should debut in the coming months, promotional art from Thor: Love and Thunder has made its way online. The new art shows Chris Hemsworth’s Son of Odin rocking a brand new blue and gold suit. We also get a fantastic look at Jane Foster decked out in her Thor garbs, which are in the traditional red and silver. She’s even got the iconic helmet on!

Directed by Taika Waititi from a script he co-wrote with Jennifer Kaytin Robinson, Thor: Love and Thunder stars Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Tessa Thompson, Christian Bale, Jaimie Alexander, Chris Pratt, Pom Klementieff, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Sean Gunn, and Jeff Goldblum. Matt Damon, Sam Neill, Luke Hemsworth, Melissa McCarthy, Ben Falcone, and Russell Crowe are also on board.

Thor: Love and Thunder is set to be released on July 8, 2022. Stay tuned for all the latest news on the upcoming Marvel film and be sure to subscribe to Heroic Hollywood’s YouTube channel for more original video content.
