A brand new poster for Marvel Studios’ upcoming Thor: Love and Thunder revealing new costumes for Chris Hemsworth and Natalie Portman was spotted.
While all eyes are currently on Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios’ upcoming Spider-Man: No Way Home hitting theaters next week, 2022 is certainly shaping up to be a new exciting year for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. One of the numerous new entries in the franchise will be Thor: Love and Thunder, featuring the return of Chris Hemsworth as our titular Thor and Natalie Portman as Jane Foster, who becomes the new Mighty Thor.
Recently, a new poster for the upcoming film was spotted at a store. This new poster features the aforementioned Chris Hemsworth’s Thor and Natalie Portman‘s Jane Foster donning new costumes as well as returning characters like Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie and Taika Waititi as Korg. What’s quite interesting to see here is that Chris Hemsworth is wielding his Stormbreaker weapon once again, which was of good use in the previous two Avengers films. Meanwhile, seeing Natalie Portman wielding Mjolnir is quite interesting given its destruction in Thor: Ragnarok followed by its use during Avengers: Endgame before Captain America (Chris Evans) returned it back to its proper place in the timeline.
Chris Hemsworth is set to return as Thor in the MCU’s Love and Thunder, which will also see Jane Foster becoming the next God of Thunder. With Foster now becoming Mighty Thor, it’s possible that Hemsworth’s future with the Marvel franchise could wrap up.
Directed by Taika Waititi from a script he co-wrote with Jennifer Kaytin Robinson, Thor: Love and Thunder stars Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Tessa Thompson, Christian Bale, Jaimie Alexander, Chris Pratt, Pom Klementieff, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Sean Gunn and Jeff Goldblum. Matt Damon, Sam Neill, Luke Hemsworth, Melissa McCarthy, Ben Falcone, and Russell Crowe are also on board.
