Netflix Chief Content Officer Ted Sarandos has revealed the streaming giant is “super happy” with the performance of their Marvel shows following the cancellation of Iron Fist.
With the news of Iron Fist‘s cancellation and The Defenders Season 2 in doubt, fans have wondered if the end of Netflix’s Marvel shows is near. Disney is also launching their own streaming service with Marvel shows of their own and Kevin Feige reportedly involved. Disney also plans on removing their films from Netflix and ending their contract. This has caused fans to wonder if Disney might be ending the Netflix-Marvel shows. According to a report from Collider, Sarandos revealed Netflix is super happy with their Marvel shows and only they can cancel the shows:
“Those shows are for us to cancel and we’re super happy with their performance so far.”
