Netflix has shared a ton of new stills from Stranger Things 4.

The gang is back! Netflix is slowly fueling the hype for the upcoming season of their flagship series. Stranger Things has been dormant since 2019, which saw the third season release to mostly positive reviews. Since then, fans have been patiently waiting for the next entry in the Duffer brothers saga and the wait is almost over.

The first batch of episodes will debut on May 27 and the second volume will hit the streaming service on July 1.

The third season ended with significant changes for the core cast of characters. Eleven lost her powers, which poses significant challenges for our heroes going forward. Beyond that, the Byers and Eleven hitched their tents up and moved over to California and Jim Hopper seemingly perished. As signaled by the stills below, the character is back, being held in a Russian prison camp. With everyone displaced and the crew losing their most powerful weapon, it’s hard to see how hopeful this season can be. But then again, Stranger Things have happened.

Here is Netflix’s description for the fourth season of Stranger Things:

“It’s been six months since the Battle of Starcourt, which brought terror and destruction to Hawkins. Struggling with the aftermath, our group of friends are separated for the first time – and navigating the complexities of high school hasn’t made things any easier. In this most vulnerable time, a new and horrifying supernatural threat surfaces, presenting a gruesome mystery that, if solved, might finally put an end to the horrors of the Upside Down.”

Stranger Things Season Four is currently set to debut on Netflix on May 27th. Stay tuned for all the latest news surrounding the upcoming season and be sure to subscribe to Heroic Hollywood’s YouTube channel for more original video content.
