Fans finally have their first look at season 5 of Stranger Things! Netflix has released a brand new behind-the-scenes video to celebrate being halfway through filming the final season.
Stranger Things is infamous in the fandom space for having ridiculously long wait times between seasons. Now just over two years out from the finale of the last season, Netflix has revealed that the people behind the series are only halfway through production on season 5.
While disappointing to fans, Netflix didn’t come with only bad news. To placate the starving masses, they’ve released a brand new video to celebrate reaching the halfway point on their filming schedule. This includes many familiar faces reflecting on their Stranger Things journey, as well as a few new details when it comes to season 5.
Everything New In Stranger Things Season 5
Fans were quick to notice two new faces among the familiar band of misfits. Spotted alongside Priah Ferguson’s Erica Sinclair are two new cast members joining Stranger Things for season 5: Nell Fisher and Jake Connelly. Their identities were confirmed by Deadline in a recent report, which also reveals that Alex Breaux will be joining the two as a fresh face in the season.
A few other interesting details include Noah Schnapp wearing Will’s outfit from season 1 of Stranger Things, Hopper sporting a new beard, and Vecna back in action following his defeat last season. It’s clear that season 5 is shaping up to be bigger and better than ever. Let’s just hope the investment pays off on Netflix’s end!
